Since I have memory I have been using free tools and resources that are publicly available for everyone to use.
This is mainly due to my economical situation and also because I personally don't want to spend lots and lots of money into software that will not make me any better than someone with free tools.
Free tools are at the same level than paid tools if you know how to use them.
This resources are for any multimedia art, though I specialize more in the audio side of the arts
